Since 1914 Wrigley Field has been a home to baseball. The first two years were for the Federal League baseball team the Chicago Whales when the field was known as Weegham Park. The Cubs moved in and called the field home in 1916. It would not be until 1927 that the field would become Wrigley Field, despite being unofficially called by its corporate name since an ad with the Doublement Twins topped the scoreboard.
The baseball field has been used as a football stadium for the Bears as well as the location for big boxing matches, but its legacy endures as the home to the Chicago Cubs. Cubs fans and baseball fans from around the country make the trip here, to 1060 West Addison Street, to find Wrigley Field tickets to simply enjoy one of the classic baseball stadiums.
