12 Kirk Hinrich PG 6-3 190 Jan 2, 1981 College: Kansas
Kirk Hinrich’s role has changed from starting point guard to all-purpose guard off the bench. He plays tenacious defense on both guards despite his lack of height, he can run an offense, and he can catch fire from deep. This makes him a valuable player for the Chicago Bulls as they try and justify his $9.5 million salary. Captain Kirk’s rough style of play has a tendency to lead to injuries though, so while the Bulls need him to fill holes in the backcourt as they come along he may be unavailable, which makes the situation terribly frustrating at times.
